Vassula Ryden and the True Life in God Associations take pleasure in inviting you to join us on a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, the birthplace of Christianity. Our Pilgrimage will take us on a unique spiritual tour of the most significant and sacred biblical sites, including Bethlehem, Nazareth, the Via Dolorosa, Golgotha and probably the holiest place for all Christians, the Holy Sepulchre, site of the Resurrection.

Our journey will begin with a visit to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem to see the Grotto where Jesus was born. We will also visit the beautiful Chapel of the Innocents, and the Chapel of the Angels. Our program will then take us to Ein Karem, which is the place of the Visitation of Our Lady to St. Elisabeth and the birthplace of St. John the Baptist. On the way we will visit Jericho and Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. We will also visit the house and tomb of Lazarus at Bethany.

We shall be spending 5 nights in the eternal city of Jerusalem. As part of our programme we will walk in the footsteps of Jesus to Gethsemane. We will then proceed to the Lithostratos and follow the Stations of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

After Jerusalem we shall go north to Nazareth for a further three nights. Among the sights, we shall be visiting the Mount of the Beatitudes, Mount Tabor, the scene of the Transfiguration, the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum and Tabgha where the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes took place.

This Pilgrimage will be a journey to the very source of Christianity, the place where “the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us”. For many, it will be a once in a lifetime experience which we will share as one family in Christ. Inspired by the True Life in God Messages, we welcome the opportunity to live and worship in unity with all Christians, as well as other faiths irrespective of denomination, nationality or “man-made” divisions.

Ecumenical bonding is the essence of the True Life In God pilgrimages as we pray in unity to our one Lord. Knowing TLIG pilgrimages to be memorable and uplifting events for both clergy and laity, we look forward to welcoming you on the 2013 pilgrimage.

Our Program will commence in Jerusalem, with pilgrims arriving on SUNDAY, August 25th, and will end in Nazareth. Pilgrims will depart for their respective countries on Monday, September 2nd. Arrivals and departures will be via the airport of Tel Aviv.

The cost of the pilgrimage is:

  • US $1,250
  • or € 995 Euro
  • or £825 in a shared room (double)
* the slightly lower US dollar price is for non-
Europeans whose flight costs are higher
