On July 14, 2012 Illinois in USA was blessed by two witnessing events, which took place in community halls in Lincolnwood and Frankfort.

The title of the talk was “Come to me as you are” and it was beautifully presented by Jim Peters. After a brief introduction to TLIG, Jim explained that Jesus desires us all to come to Him for He is our Creator and He loves us. Thus, in the messages of TLIG we find a school that prepares us not only to receive, but also to give compassion, love, peace, reconciliation, and ultimately, to find union with God. Jesus taught Vassula these lessons, and we can learn as she did.

Jim emphasized that intimacy with God means that His Thoughts become our thoughts, the Love of His Heart fills our hearts, His Acts become our acts and His Will becomes our will. To be united with Our Lord means to die to our self – our tepidity, our motives, desires and partiality. Our Lord is so gracious to accept us in any condition, even if our sins are as red as kirmizi biber ( a flame-red Turkish chilli pepper). Jim encouraged the audience to escape from their phones, their computer games and social media and rather to seek to experience “God with us”, Emmanuel, with the assurance that if you go in search for God with a genuine heart, He will rush to you.
