In April 2024, Vassula invited me to spend a few days with her in her house in Greece. I gladly accepted, and so I found myself in Rhodes. While I was there, Vassula received a call from a Portuguese-speaking group: a Portuguese group and a few people from Brazil. They were scheduled to briefly visit Rhodes on a cruise ship. They asked Vassula to visit them on board for lunch so that she could share her experience, giving them a short testimony.

We immediately filled bags with all the books she had at her home in their language – a substantial number – and went to the port so that she could meet them. The group guide met us outside the cruise ship and told us that unfortunately it had turned out to be impossible to obtain permission for Vassula to board the ship. It would have been difficult, anyway, for Vassula to give her testimony in a room with loud music. So Vassula told them that, if they were interested, they were welcome to come to her house. They were overjoyed; and so, they did.
A little later, a line of taxis arrived at Vassula’s house, where she gave her testimony in a beautiful, homey atmosphere. They all listened intently, while their guide translated her testimony. Vassula would always be prepared to share what our Lord asks of us. She described how her experience had started, as well as disclosing many of the topics in the TLIG Messages. They listened to her, riveted and deeply moved.

The little time they had was running out, and the group had to return to the cruise ship which was due to depart shortly. They left with books we gave them as a gift; not only for themselves, but also for fellow travelers who had not been able to come. At home, we were left wondering at how the Lord works, and how He had organized a testimony for her to give, without her knowing. This was to be the last testimony given by Vassula.
