News from TLIG Radio Volunteers in Nepal
· We bring you news from two of our sisters in Nepal where as of April 28, 2015, the recent violent earthquake is believed to have killed more than 7500 people.
· Poonam, a TLIG friend and volunteer for the TLIG Radio in Nepal managed to email us four days after the catastrophe. She said that on the first day of the earthquake she didn’t think she would survive. With all her family, they have stayed out in an open area. Although it was raining, they have had no tent and it is very hard to get food because there is no shop.
· The Nepalese TLIG Radio team was hardly able to survive. Their Pastor Jacob who is the translator of the TLIG messages in Nepali, stepped out of the church building for a few minutes to receive some new believers in the church’s compound when the earthquake occurred. The eighteen people inside his church died, innocent people, including women and children. In her email Poonam wrote: “Thank you for praying for us. I feel that only because of your Rosary, we are alive today.”
· Christiane, another TLIG friend in Kathmandu and volunteer for the Beth Myriam and TLIG radio in Nepal, wrote: “The Lord has saved us!’. She said that the phones do not work but after some days she was able to get a message to us. She and her Beth Myriam family and the house are safe. The first night after the earthquake they slept outside but thanks to God their neighborhood is fine. However, in other parts of Kathmandu and in the villages there is enormous devastation. People are being given tents in Ratnapark to stay there with their family, but there is serious food and water shortage. The shops are all closed and there are no buses or taxis. In the Beth Myriam house they only have enough food to last for about one week.
· Many people in remote villages, but even in Kathmandu, are still suffering. They are waiting for help and because of bad weather they are not getting the support they need in time.

TLIG Ireland Association Report on Evangelization Activity
To date we have gone to almost all of the 32 counties of the island of Ireland and we have made repeat visits to some counties. We go to a new town when we visit the 2nd time around! So we are now basically into our ‘Second Circuit’ of the 32 counties of Ireland. Six of these Counties comprise Northern Ireland (technically the UK!), but having discussed this ages ago with the TLIG UK guys, we cover these counties too.
November/December:
We had our TLIG Anniversary Mass in November and our Annual TLIG Planning Meeting – preparing our Evangelization Plan for the year ahead – 2015. We finalised the ‘Collection of TLIG Testimonies’ Project here and and made preparations to have the booklet of Testimonies printed as requested by Vassula. The Printer was very helpful and seemed inspired while engaged with the booklet – the end product is great ! The booklet is very attractive – an excellent new tool for evangelisation here.
December/January:
A Priest at the Ethiopian Orthodox Church here in Dublin invited TLIG friends to attend the Feast of the Archangel Gabriel downtown – this was special! A real sense of Joy and Unity was experienced by all. Various events for Unity Week were attended here in January and copies of the TLIG Unity book & TLIG Magazines were shared.
February:
On Valentine’s Day we had a TLIG Talk here in downtown Dublin – it was well attended – the room was full & we had to keep going out to get more chairs for the late comers! We were pleased that we had a Ukrainian Orthodox lady there who came to listen (there are not many Orthodox in Ireland!). A couple of young Hindu friends (from India, studying for their Master’s Degrees here) also came along to listen. We had given them a copy of ‘Heaven is Real…’ to read a while ago & when they heard there was a talk on TLIG, they came along to listen! :) The bookstand was busy – people liked our new booklet: “TLIG Testimonies from Ireland”. We have included at the front of this booklet the TLIG Messages given specifically for Ireland – people were quite touched & struck to see this & they were also interested to read the various testimonies as they glanced through the booklets on the bookstand.
March:
Twice a year there is a ‘Mind, Body, Spirit 3-Day Festival in Dublin…March and October.
TLIG Ireland always takes a stand at these festivals. It is very much an Esoteric/ New Age type Festival and the TLIG stand is usually just one of two Christian stands amid 400 or so stands at the festival. 10,000 -15,000 people attend over the three day period. There is always an interest in the TLIG stand – all the people attending are usually searching… and they find Jesus at the TLIG stand amid all the other stands which do not lead to God…but rather away from God. As always, there was a good interest shown towards Vassula and particularly in the book Heaven is Real by people passing the stand…
The message of June 1, 2002 – which speaks in regards to New Age practices etc was particularly pertinent to those passing the stand:
“…people in your days are in search of false gods, following 13 all sorts of paganistic systems, 14 to obtain knowledge and power they think; then the world is ever so charmed by the beauty of crystals, the beauty of leaves, elements that they place above My Omnipotence, since they ask from these healing powers, instead of the gracious and healing power of My Holy Spirit; if they are impressed by their shape15 let them deduce from these how much mightier is He that has formed the crystals, the leaves and the like, the Author of them all!
even if these16 are in reality in search of My Presence, and in their eagerness have fallen prey to the Deceiver and led astray, even so, they are not without any sin, and are guilty of their inadequacy; if they are able to investigate the energies, its contents, the world and the cosmos, how have they been so slow to find the Author and Master of them all?

April:
Our next Talk is in Dundalk on April 18th. We have been busy placing advertisements in local papers there and organising to get TLIG Flyers displayed in the area between now and then! We figure that by going to each county now a second time – always advertising widely in Newspapers (e.g. with Adverts of ‘Quarter Page’ size) and on local radio if possible – that everyone in every county in Ireland will have the chance to hear of TLIG/Vassula… All our efforts we support of course with prayer… that Jesus will bring the people to theTalks! :)
May: Our TLIG Talk for May will be in Carlow and preparation for that is also underway…
Another ongoing Project is the placement of the book ‘Heaven is Real’ in the countrywide network of Public Lending Libraries (in all of the 32 Counties – we have not yet been to all 32 Counties with this Project but are working on this!) so it is available to the public to borrow & read.
All of our active TLIG Volunteer organisers take turns in organising the various Talks/Events around the country… once we started, in September 2008, the momentum got going, and with God’s help every step of the way, we have continued to make our best effort for Jesus to transmit His Message to people here… We all work together really well as a Team – Jesus ensures the Love and Unity and Joy at all of our Talk/Events… they are always such special, blessed, uplifting occasions both for those who come to listen and also for the active TLIG volunteers who organise & witness!
With the TLIG Pilgrimage coming up we hope that a good number of people from Ireland may be able to join… with the economic downturn it’s not been easy for a lot of people, so we will hope & pray for this! :)

Denmark TLIG News

On February 5, 2015 a witness meeting took place in Aarhus, Denmark. Dr. Niels Christian Hvidt was invited to give a talk about the Tradition of Christian Prophecy in the example of Vassula Rydén at Saint Paul’s church in Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark. The parish priest, Father Flemming B. Kristensen who had kindly invited Niels Christian Hvidt to give the talk, introduced him to the audience.
Many people helped with the organization and promotion of the event and around 100 people attended the talk with great interest. After the talk people addressed several questions to Dr Niels Christian about Christian Prophecy and tlig spirituality. Many books were sold and some people were interested in joining a prayer group. It was a joyful evening for which we give glory to God.
Norway TLIG News
In Norway, there are two active True Life in God prayer groups. The first one meets every second Tuesday of the month and it is hosted in a room of Sagene Church, an Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oslo. The second TLIG prayer group meets up everyThursday and is hosted in the private family home of TLIG readers in Drammen. All the members of the prayer group are Christians from the Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant Churches.
