October 29, 2023 TLIG International Prayer Meeting Report

We would like to thank everyone who attended the TLIG International Prayer Meeting on Sunday October 29, 2023 to pray the four Rosary Mysteries for: Peace in Israel/Gaza/Lebanon, Ukraine/Russia and in the world including the repose of the souls of all those who have died in these wars, have been injured, maimed and displaced; Unifying the Dates of Easter and aligning our prayers with the Feasts of All Saints and all Souls Day. In particular, we want to thank those who attend our daily prayer meeting for their invaluable support, participation and love.

Two priests, 1 from Canada and 1 from Italy joined. Fr. Mark Bayrock opened the prayer meeting with a beautiful welcome and quote from Psalm 48 verse 1. There were 2,071 views live streamed. Prayers were offered in 12 languages: Aramaic, Arabic, Armenian, English, French, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Latin, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish.

The Bible and TLIG random readings were: 1 Corinthians 12:21 and October 10, 1986. Fr. Vincent offered his comments on both readings in French. Fr. Mark commented on how the readings should impress upon us how much we need each other and how the Lord God summed up all the commandments and precepts of the Old Testament down to two: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind and you shall love your neighbor as yourself. He continued, that it impresses upon us how connected we are to our neighbors in our world and throughout the entire planet and universe. If one of our members is hurting we all feel the effects of that separation, hurt and pain. But, if one of its members is praying we trust that God will assign the effects of that prayer in whatever way His majesty wishes…

This was a beautiful confirmation and encouragement of all our prayers! A comment regarding the prayer meeting is as follows: “I joined the Prayer for Peace this evening and was blown away. Having heard a priest at 3pm England suggest to the congregation to say 1 Hail Mary weekly for peace, I was convinced more effort was needed by me and so was staying with you no matter what. Funny thing is I was being administered to…I was growing in trust and calm as the evening went on. The words from Fr. Mark were therapy to my spirit. So all I want to say is a big thank you…”

Frs. Mark and Vincent closed the meeting with their blessing for us all. Praise God!
