Testimony 16
27 October 1998 10:08
This testimony relates to experiences following a Vassula presentation in Northern Ireland last year.
As I was leaving the Waterfront Hall (Belfast) with my friends, Edmund told me to stand at the kerb beside a tree until he could bring his car to me as I have diabetes and was feeling weak and in need of food. We had been at a meeting for Peace and Unity at which the Greek Orthodox mystic Vassula Ryden had been speaking and where there had been a session for healing.
As I was waiting for my friends to return with their car a little lady, who had walked up behind me, pointed down the road and said one word – “look”. I looked down the road to where she was pointing but was blinded by the sun and had to move into the shade of a tree in order to look at where she was pointing. I looked through the leaves at the sun from the corner of my eyes, and then after a couple of seconds found myself moving forward and looking straight into the sun! I was surprised that I could now do this as I am very light sensitive due to blocked glands in my eyes. It would not normally have been possible for this to happen, but I was now able to look directly into the sun without it hurting my eyes at all – it had changed from being normal bright red and had taken on the appearance of a huge white host in the sky.
At that point Edmund arrived with his car, opened the door, and while I kept my eyes still on the Host and beckoned with my left hand, he came over beside me. I just said one word – “look”. Edmund looked to where I was looking and said “this is not possible – to look into the sun you go blind”. I said to him “do not worry, son” – and I do not know why I said the following – “you are seeing it with your spiritual eyes”. Edmund then said, “but sure, what does this mean?” to which I replied “You are seeing the Miracle of the Sun.”
At this point the second car with Fiona and her sister Angela came and again I just waved my hand to them to come over; Fiona and Angela ran over, leaving the door of their car open and the engine running. They looked up into the sky to where I was looking and were amazed to see what I was seeing.
Fiona has a separate testimony:
What I saw:
The sun looked just like a large white host in the sky and it was the full
size of the sun. Above the ‘Host’ was a bright red mist that sat above
and slightly around the top of the sun – between the “Host” and the red
mist there was a bright blue band of colour in a semicircle actually
attached to the rim of the “Host”. At some stage the “Host” seemed to be
coming towards us and then retreated.

I turned to look at my friends and saw a red ‘glow’ on their faces and a strange dark red line running down their cheeks front under their eyes. I felt the red glow had to be from the red mist around the sun but I do not know the meaning of the line on their faces.
I turned around and saw a young man in a wheelchair and I think there were four people with him. The young man was looking at the sun too and his face was radiant! The other four people were also looking. I felt such happiness just looking at his face – it was so joyous! Some women were walking from the Waterfront building and I said to them “look” but they just kept walking on – they did not see, or perhaps they did not even look, I don’t know.
I do not know how long this lasted but it must have been for quite a long time. Enough time for Edmund to come over to me from his car and to stand looking into the sky; and after that, time enough for Fiona to stop her car and come over to where I was standing and look also; time enough for me to look around and see the young man in a wheelchair and observe his radiant face; time enough for me to call to the two women passing and call to them to look too; time enough for me to look at Edmund and Fiona and see the “red mist” reflected on the front of their faces.
Then the sun disappeared gently from my sight. I did not see it go down or set, although I was watching it, it simply seemed to fade and then was gone! We were all so filled with the wonder of what we had just experienced that we wanted to stay together and continue to talk about and keep this wonderful experience in our minds – we just didn’t want it to end.
This is a true and accurate account of what I, Daniella McCann, experienced on 21st September, 1997, after attending a meeting at The Waterfront Hall in Belfast where the Greek Orthodox mystic Vassula Ryden had come to bring her message of Peace and Love and Unity to the people of this country.
