2 ‘little’ letters
Sachiko Hitomi, from Japan, sends this letter:
Yoshiko, on her first anniversary of her baptism (March 5th) felt an urge to pray especially for a homeless lady who sat on the ground near St. Ignatius Church for several years without the priests and sisters managing to approach her personally because of her rigid guard. Yoshiko managed, however, each step led by Jesus, to cut her hair, prepare a balanced lunch for her, learning that this homeless lady is a Korean named Miss Shin, 48 years old, who had been fired from work four years ago.
Tsuyuko volunteered to cooperate with Yoshiko and opened her home for Miss Shin to take a bath and wash her clothes and give new underwear (Aug. 22nd). Tsuyuko had seen a vision in July of Jesus coming up to her living room through the garden; and when Tokiko (the first name as we learned later from Hans) came in, it was just like the way Jesus came in in Tsuyuko’s vision.
This could well be the dawning of our Bethmyriam in Japan, though starting in a very small way, as Jesus told Yoshiko clearly that her heart (and ours) is to be the “House of Mary”.
We pray that Jesus will lead each of us to cooperate with love step by step for our newly born Bethmyriam to take form.
Nellie Wright sends this letter from Canada:
I too opened to Feb. 11th, 1992 reading (referring to the forum mailing of September 30). God often directs me to an appropriate reading in TLIG, Scripture and other spiritual writings. I have lost friends and relatives’ acceptance because of my belief that TLIG is from God. I was given 1. Thes. 2:13 when asking the Lord if Vassula was from Him:
“When we brought you God’s message, you heard it and accepted it, not as man’s message but as God’s message, which indeed it is.”
I was on the committee which brought Vassula to our small city of Monkton, New Brunswick ,Canada. We were trying to find words how to describe her in our advertizing. While we were praying the rosary, these words came to me: “Who is Vassula? She is the HAND maid of the Lord.”
The Lord asked her to use her hand to write his message of unity to the world, and she said “yes”. We are all called to imitate our Lady’s fiat! This was accepted by the committee but later changed.
Please pray for me. My husband and I have 9 children, ages 29 to 7 years. I AM homeschooling the 4 younger ones. There is not much support in our city for large families or bringing them up in the true faith. I do believe we are near to a wonderful change in our world – after a greater trial.
