Vassula writes:
Dear friends of TLIG,
Carol, David and I have been struggling to check the list of people
interested for the Pilgrimage of the year 2002. This work is not yet
over, but at least we are close enough to say it is. We are still
getting applications from the clergy right now and it is not finished.
So far we have 52 clergy who want to come from many church denominations.
We hope to get this time together 15 of them.
As the applicants’ interest for this pilgrimage was awesome and far
beyond the original number of 150 applicants, including clergy, I decided
to augment the amount and accept over 150 lay applicants. Today we have
199 who are accepted.
The applicants who after I thoroughly studied their report, and showed
that they had not enough activities being done exclusively for TLIG, in
the year of 2000, these are put to a waiting list. If, in the meantime
they start being interested to do some activities from now on till end of
this year and onwards, and if there are cancellations, they will have the
priority in the waiting list..
David will put out the list of lay applicants right away, but do
remember, those that do not see your name in, you might still have a
chance in this Pilgrimage depending on your activity.
Jonathan will give you an estimated cost of the Pilgrimage which includes
accommodation and meals in 5 star hotels. Buses and guides, airfare from
South of Egypt to the Sinai etc., excluding the cost of your air-ticket
from your country.
I remind the Associations that they will have to check that any clergy
from their respective countries are self-sufficient. Many so far tell us
that they were not told of this pilgrimage, others that they have no
funds. I would like that the Associations check on their clergy and find out their situation.
Payment details will be forwarded as soon as possible. David and
Jonathan will be taking care of this.
In the love of God,
Vassula
