HIR Italian Edition at “Più libri, più liberi” Fair – Rome 4-8, December 2024

Every year, in December, an important national book fair named “Più Libri Più Liberi’¹ , dedicated to small and medium sized publishers, is held in Rome. In December 2024, Maria Stella and I were invited by Armando Editore, the publisher of the Italian edition of the HIR book, to attend the ‘book signing event’ in their booth for one hour, giving us the opportunity to present and talk about the book to anyone interested. For this event, Armando Editore created a roll up advertisement of the book which was given to our association at the end of the event.

The time slot for us to talk about the HIR book was set from midday to 1 pm on Thursday, December 5th. We would have preferred to be present during the weekend when the exhibition area is more crowded, but it was not possible, so we accepted that day as a proposal from Heaven and said to ourserlves: if the Lord sends us on Thursday at 12 noon, it is probably at that time of the day that a soul will pass by searching for God; it came to our minds the time when Vassula was sent to witness in Sweden just to save one soul (HIR chapter 9 – Supernatural).

During the days before the event, together with the other members of the TLIG Italian prayer group, we worked actively by distributing a digital flyer prepared by Armando Editore to inform people that the HIR book would be available at the national book fair in Rome.

We had a warm welcome by the publisher, who also asked us to give a short interview that the distributors would then publish on their website and release to us for distribution. We accepted with joy, confident that the Holy Spirit would assist us. We had never before spoken in front of a camera, and for those who are not used to it, it’s not really easy! But we would never ever miss that opportunity, so we trusted and relied in God.

We were happily surprised that even at midday, on a weekday, the fair was quite crowded; and we were also very pleased when the publisher allowed us to stay 45 minutes longer than the scheduled time. During our time slot, we met both the people to whom we had sent the invitation, and the passers-by whom we tried to approach by giving them the HIR bookmark we had made. Some bought the book, others took the bookmark willingly.

Before leaving the fair, we gave our interview: we talked briefly about Vassula’s life and how Jesus approached her. We also said that when reading God’s TLIG Messages, readers should replace Vassula’s name with their own names. We have witnessed how much these TLIG readings have changed our lives, making them full of joy.

It was an experience full of emotion and joy for us, to which we concluded saying, as Jesus teaches us to say in many TLIG messages: here we are, Lord, we did our best, now You do the rest!
