Interview at Oumma TV in Paris

Oumma TV is the audiovisual platform, or webTV, of the Oumma.com website and the Oumma Media news agency. General information on the program and themes are mainly related to Islam, integration and diversity issues, the fight against discrimination and the Middle-East. Vassula was invited by Mr. Tawfic Mathlouthi to give an interview at Oumma TV in Paris about her mission, her book Heaven is Real but so is Hell and the inter-religious meetings.
Mr. Mathlouthi has been engaged in inter-religious dialogue since 1984. He heard about Vassula from a close friend and he wished to interview her. Hence, on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, Vassula had an appointment at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Mathlouthi. The interview was a part of his inter-religious program Common Word (for all humans), according to the Koranic verse:
“O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you – that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah.” (Sourate al-Imran, Verse 3:64)
As Christians, we know that in the Bible it is written:
“In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.” (The Jerusalem Bible, John 1:1-2).
And in our day, Jesus says to Vassula:
“Love and Loyalty can meet, Righteousness and Peace can embrace; Loyalty can reach up from earth for Righteousness always leaned from heaven; …Righteousness always preceded Me and Peace followed My Footsteps;”

On the day of the interview it was snowing and the weather was very cold, but we walked since the TV Studio was close to the hotel. Yannick, Marie France and I accompanied Vassula. We met Mr. Mathlouthi at the entrance of the Oumma TV studio. He had just arrived from Korea but came straight to the studio for this interview. Sustained by the grace of God, he looked fresh; he was smiling and happy to meet Vassula and us.

The interview lasted about one hour. Vassula and Mr. Mathlouthi were satisfied with this interview, which was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
