Position of the tabernacle

A few days ago I was asked if I could specify the message of Jesus to Vassula where He indicated His unhappiness at the removal of the tabernacle from the centre of the altar in Catholic churches.

The message in question is dated July 16, 1991

I have now been asked by this person the following question:

“I am involved in organising the building of a new church in our parish. Our local diocese requires that the tabernacle be placed away from the centre altar. Do you know where I can obtain the official standpoint of the Vatican on this issue?”

Is there anyone on this list who can answer this question? If you can help, please just reply to this note. Thank you.
