Celebrating Christmas at our Beth Myriams

Letter from Syria and Lebanon

Beth Myriam Homs in Syria, and Beth Myriam Antelias in Lebanon share with us the highlights of their Christmas celebrations. 

At Beth Myriam Homs, the volunteers wanted to spread the message of joy at this holy time to all the people who were forced by difficult life circumstances not to experience the joy of the birth of the Savior. And so that we can put a smile on the faces of children at this sacred time, we had a party of joy and happiness for 150 children in the city of Homs. The children came from poor families who are in dire need of this warm Christmas atmosphere. The gathering was held on Tuesday, the 24th of December. 

It was a wonderful party, in which the children played, sang, danced and chanted for the child born of our mother, the Virgin Mary. Thanks to the support of Beth Myriam and all the brothers, we were able to provide gifts, food and sweets to all the children and their families.  

In Lebanon, one of our volunteers, Samir, visited the Beth Myriam families; he gave the children and their families gifts and food.
