A little lesson

THEORY
Around the head of Our Lord, within the halo, or technically inside the
aureole, are the three Greek letters, omikron, omega and nu, which
roughly translate into the the rather clumsy English,

‘the essence of being’. From that noun ON we get the English word Ontology, the philosophical study of
Existence.

A simple explanation of the above, is that it is the Greek way of
expressing the Hebrew « I AM », the start of the word ‘Yahweh’—that Our
Lord told Moses was His name at the burning bush.

In other words, by surrounding the head of Jesus with the proclamation
« I AM », the ikon maker affirms the Godhead of Jesus.

PRACTICE
Today at a Divine Mercy one-day conference I heard the following
feedback:

An envious lady entertained a very common thought as she listened to
Vassula in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, in March 1998.

She wished God would talk to her as directly and familiarly as he did to
Vassula.

She then heard Him say to her quite distinctly, « I AM ».

Then to reinforce His point, thereafter every time Vassula, ‘His echo’,
frequently moved her hair away from her face, she momentarily saw the
face of Jesus.
