Atlanta Georgia USA Beth Myriam and Evangelization Work

One of the numerous “soup Kitchens” that serve the homeless in the greater Atlanta area is called “MUST Ministries” and is located in Kennesaw, Georgia, in the USA. Christian groups book this facility on various dates to cook and serve the homeless people who come for food. The Atlanta TLIG prayer group has used the facility at MUST Ministries and served many homeless people in the past few years, under the name of TLIG.

A few months ago, the Atlanta TLIG prayer group served food to 78 homeless people at the MUST Ministries which consisted of roast chicken, potatoes, rice, salad, apples, soft drinks and dessert. On this occasion having obtained permission, Jim Peters, a witness for TLiG, spoke and evangelized to those homeless people, during their meal. The talk was well received, and afterward approximately 20 people came up to thank Jim and ask him questions. As these are homeless people, Jim has no way of contacting them in the future, but the TLIG prayer group intends to book the venue to repeat the event in the future.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Atlanta, under the leadership of the local Archbishop holds an annual Eucharistic Conference, usually attended by 10,000 to 15,000 people.
For the past 6 years the local TLIG prayer groups have booked a booth at this conference where they displayed TLIG books and related material and took the opportunity to evangelize on TLIG to those attending the Conference. Often, the TLIG booth has been next to well known Roman Catholic Institutions and other Catholic Charities. Approximately 7 TLIG volunteers helped run this event which took place this year on June 9th. They evangelized to approximately 96 people.
