On Saturday April 12, 2025, Tereza and I departed from Athens airport for Thessalonica, as Tereza’s speech had been arranged to be presented at 6:00 pm that evening at Daphne’s home. At the airport, we were warmly welcomed by Daphne and Chrysa. After a delicious breakfast which they had prepared for us, they took us to the place where we would be lodging.
When the time came for the meeting, we went to Daphne’s house, excitedly waiting for the guests. With great pleasure, we found a total of sixteen people gathered. Daphne and Chrysa had undertaken preparations for the smooth running of the event. The guests were of different ages and came from a variety of denominations; a Methodist pastor with his wife also attended. The presentation took place in a warm atmosphere. Tereza began her speech by asking who has received the True Life in God Messages, and how many have read it. One topic which she developed in her speech was about Vassula’s mission: how Jesus had invited her and used her as His instrument, even though this mission was way beyond her capabilities.
Subsequently, topics relating to themes from the True Life in God Messages were discussed: such as mutuality in love, which the Lord asks of us; that is, to accept receiving more from Him, so that we can give more back to Him. Special emphasis was laid on forgiveness and how essential it is to forgive. Tereza then spoke about the sacrament of confession, in which humility and repentance are expressed. There is a necessity to go to confession regularly, as the Lord asks of us in the TLIG Messages, and invites us to receive the Eucharist frequently. Without the Eucharist, we have no life. The Lord tells us that the Eucharist is the antidote to Satan’s venom. She also discussed apostasy, adding that the apostasy we are experiencing today is the great apostasy that St. Paul had mentioned, the Spirit of Rebellion.
Since Holy Week was approaching, we could not neglect discussing the mystery of the Cross. In the TLIG Messages, the Lord tells us that whoever embraces Him embraces His Cross. The Cross is the instrument of redemption. We also spoke about another very important issue: how the Messages refer to the Mother of God, Our Lady. Tereza completed her speech with one of the more important themes running through the Messages of True Life in God: the unity of Churches. We watched a video with an extract from a TLIG Message, where the Lord expresses His wish to unify the date of Easter, emphasizing with great pain the fact that we crucify Him twice when we celebrate His Resurrection separated. The meeting concluded with common prayer, reading extracts from the prayers for the conversion of the world contained in the TLIG Messages. The atmosphere was truly one of brothers and sisters in the presence of God.
However, the mission was not over yet – On Palm Sunday we went to Holy Mass, along with Daphne, Chrysa and Takis. We then celebrated Daphne’s names day. We felt grateful for the warm hospitality and the deep sense of fellowship that keeps us connected with our dear friends in Thessalonica. We were invited to speak to some ladies that had shown an interest in the TLIG Messages. Hence, we were delighted to offer them the TLIG books and share our experiences with them. The ladies were of a different denomination, but the exchange of views took place with respect and a desire for genuine communication.
At every step of this weekend, we felt God’s hand guiding us. The bonding that took place, the words spoken, and the hearts that opened up, were all the fruit of His Grace. We will go on with trust, knowing that He will bless our next steps.
