Glad I was there

Now a resident of Rome since late last year, Vassula holds a monthly prayer meeting there, although because of her travels she is not always able to attend. She was present at Saturday’s meeting, however, and Daniela Pietra, whose testimony of her conversion through the True Life in God messages was forwarded to this list last year, sends this spontaneous little report on the meeting.
Glad I was there.
Finally, this time I could attend the meeting. More or less 40 persons. A nice oriental celebrant (franciscan order). The schedule was almost the same as the first time: Rosary, Vassula’s talk, Holy Mass.
The atmosphere was totally different, notwithstanding the cold (today is a rainy and cold day) and the hymns that still need some adjustment. Already at the first two decades of the Rosary I felt an inner joy growing inside me and I felt so glad and lucky to be there. (On my arrival I was tired, in a bad mood, and I almost obliged myself to go there).
The sense of prayer was very deep and profound. Really the Spirit was
floating over all of us gathered there. I felt loved, protected, and
shivering from something that was not cold. I shared my impressions with
two persons I knew and they had my same feelings.
After the Eucharist, the silence was so deep that I thought we would
remain there forever and that nothing could break it.
On the contrary Vassula was very bright and full of life, looking younger than ever. She spoke principally about Love, the only law that should guide any action of ours. How to become and be intimate with Our Lord. How to become nothing to let Jesus become everything within us. How to ask for all the graces we need and trust that we are answered.
I could write much more about this beautiful experience, but I simply repeat:
Glad I was there.
