Testimonies 6

This testimony, from 1994, is from Scott Clark, USA.

A little more than a year ago I felt a thirst or need, which I still can’t describe, to reconcile with Jesus. I went to Easter mass. Shortly afterwards a friend in Minneapolis gave me Vassula’s first video tape. When I watched it, I was overwhelmed. Through Vassula’s ministry I realised I, the worst sinner you could imagine, could be loved by none other than God Himself

The message from the Church when I was growing up was that for a person like me there was no hope. With those negative messages in my mind, I rejected God and his Church at age 16. I was on my own from then on because I believed God hated a person like me. I never went back to Church or received a sacrament after that. I thought as long as I was to spend an eternity in Hell, I may as we have all my ”fun” here on earth.

After I saw that tape, I read every book, saw every tape, bought my Bible and told everyone who would listen about these wonderful messages from our Lord. I give out books and tapes to everyo I meet.

Earlier this year my wife and I hired a new housekeeper. When she moved into her room the day she arrived, I saw a holy card of our Blessed Mother on her night stand. We talked briefly and I told her I was a Catholic and was delighted to see that she was Catholic as well. I couldn’t resist telling her about Vassula and gave her book 1 of True Life In God to read. She finished the book on the day she was to go home to Indianapolis for the weekend. I decided to give her the first two video tapes to take with her.

As I was driving her to her train I asked her how she liked her new position. She told me in a very soft and matter of fact way that it was the answer to her prayers. I must say I was somewhat surpised. She said that she had been praying for a position close to where her friend Mila worked and for a Catholic family. I was flattered with the thought that perhaps God would think of us as a good Catholic family. We try to be, anyway. I noticed she had the tapes tucked tightly under her arm when she got on the train.

When she returned the following Sunday I was anxious to hear her review of the messages of Vassula. She said that as soon as she got home, she called 10 of her friends over that evening to see the tapes. She began watching the first tape and shortly after the tape began Vassula’s head was replaced by the head and face of our Lord Jesus. There was no aura or halo about or around our Lord’s Head. It was as if our Lord simply replaced Vassula.

During the tape, Doloras got up quietly and went into the bathroom to freshen up. She said she was atraid she was becoming ”obsessive” by seeing this vision and thought that a break from the tape might get things back to ”normal”. When she returned to her place, Jesus was still there so she decided to just sit through the tapes and figure it out later.

When the tapes were finished, she said to her friends that she thought that the ”special effect” of Jesus’s head replacing Vassula’s was a nice touch. Everyone looked at her. No one else in the group had seen the apparition except Doloras.

Doloras is a humble, devout woman. Her home is the Philippines. She had to travel all the way to the United States to find a job to help support her husband and 2 children. She gives the gift of showing our family how to endure this world, loving our Father for the gifts he gives us and guietly enduring her cross (suffering the painful separation from her family). There is no doubt why Jesus would express His special love for this person by showing Himself to her.
