Bethlehem Beth Myriam
Vassula has asked that the following is made known:
This concerns the building in Bethlehem which has been intended to be used as a Beth Myriam. Vassula has stated that it had to be functionable and “we had no one from the Holy Land or from abroad who were prepared to run it. So I suggested to Bernard we give it to Mother Tekla, the Abbess General of the convents of Saint Birgitta of Sweden, which he agreed to. Now it is hers and she is sending nuns next month already. We still have a Beth Myriam in Bethlehem though, at a neighbourhood which is very persecuted and extremely poor. It is very poor and any donation will be most welcomed there.”
Anyone wishing to contribute specifically to the Beth Myriam of which Vassula speaks, should reply to this email.
Also, regarding the Beth Myriam icon picture, the painter of this icon has not given permission for its use on cards etc. Permission was granted only for its use in Beth Myriams. If anyone knows the painter and how to contact her, could they please also reply to this email.
