Archbishop Milingo
29 May 2001 12:42
For those who might not yet have heard, Archbishop Milingo was, on Sunday, married in a ‘Moonies’ ceremony in New York.

Dear TLIG,
It is with great sorrow that we all learnt about Mons. Milingo’s departure. I say departure because for me it as though he died and we are all like in a state of mourning. But God is Hope, and as the prodigal son who was dead, he might return. I only hope that Mother Church will not continue to treat him so harshly that it led him finally into this „suicide“ action, but will pardon him when he returns. Mother Church has treated Padre Pio and other saints harshly as well because of false defamation, but they held in. I hope that the parable of the lost sheep will be followed by the Church; when the shepherd found out that one sheep was missing, he left all the 99 sheep in the fold to go and look for the one missing.
Mons. Milingo I believe, like Fr. Amorth said, is under that sect’s spell. Only last year I had heard him condemn this very sect and if he had approached them it was, as he had said in that conference, to convert them.
I ask all of you to pray for him that God does a miracle for a miracle only can help him out. It seems that no one can approach him either. The spells these people do and the brainwashings are powerful and that shows to all of us that we are never secure. Mons. Milingo was a great warrior against Satan and all sorts of evil powers but in this battle against Satan the devil slashed him in a moment of depression, weakness and unawareness.
May God have mercy on him and not abandon him, remembering the good things he had done in His Name.
So please pray for him and offer sacrifice and Masses as well.
God bless you,
Vassula
