Ewa Allan, the publisher of the True Life in God magazine, has asked me to forward the following invitation to a Retreat led by Frances Hogan, a leading lay biblical scholar.

LISTENING TO THE LORD IN HIS WORD

Fawley Court, Henley-on-Thames, UK, 28th – 30th May, 1999 (Henley-on-Thames is just 15 miles west of Heathrow airport, London)

In March 1996 we held a very successful True Life in God meeting at Fawley Court (Marian Fathers) with Fr. Michael O’Carroll. This May we are, with Vassula’s encouragement, organizing a Weekend Retreat led by Frances Hogan.

Frances Hogan is probably the most inspired and the greatest lay biblical scholar living. She has dedicated her life to spreading the Word of God and, with extraordinary gifts and knowledge, has been teaching the Bible for over 25 years. At first her audience was primarily lay Catholics, these days she runs retreats for priests and nuns as well as lay people. Filled with the Holy Spirit she opens up the Word of God to others in a most wonderful way and with the backing of the Kolbe Trust (established under the patronage of St. Maximilian Kolbe) evangelizes in Ireland, Britain, Canada, Africa and Italy. Frances, the author of many books on the Bible, has (through the Kolbe Trust) made many audio tapes of her talks.

Frances Hogan will introduce the four Gospels and then speak on what the Holy Spirit is saying to us THIS YEAR through St. Matthew’s Gospel.

The Retreat begins with supper at 6.30pm, Friday, 28th May. The first talk is at 8pm.

The Retreat ends on Sunday, 30th, after lunch.

The cost is £85 (UKP) per person. This includes board and lodgings from Friday evening to Sunday lunch inclusive.
